With registrations under way from this Saturday for three weeks, we’ve introduced a special offer for Under 6 players:

Under 6 – Introductory Offer
$60 includes pair of socks

We also want to ease the burden on families with several players, so:

Under 7 to 18
$110 first child
$100 second child
More than two children Family rate of $250 applies.

Registration Days

At Memorial Park No.1 Ground, Corrimal

Team Nominations are required by FSC before the end of February.

You need to register on the dates indicated. If you cannot make these days and you want to play please ring Reg Brown on mob.0419835900 to arrange your registration. We need a minimum of 9 players registered to enter a team. If you turn up at training after team nominations have been entered there is no guarantee there will be a team for you to play in. Please help us by indicating your intention to play as early as possible.

Fees

$110 first child, $100 each additional child.

Payment can be made by cash or cheque only.

If payment is an issue at registration time pay a deposit and pay your fees when funds are available.

Corrimal Rangers Junior Soccer Club Annual General Meeting will be held:

Please come along and take an interest in the running of your club.

All our teams have performed well in their respective competitions.

U14.2 – Performed well in first year in 2nd division.

Annual Wal Robinson Gala Day.
Four rounds of the State Cup competition featuring teams from Illawarra and Sydney regions.

CRJSC Season 2011 Presentation Day

When: Sunday 18th September
Where: Memorial Park, No.1 Ground – Wilga St. Corrimal

Program: (Come and join in the fun)
SSG ages 6 to 9 (The day is a family day and older children are welcome in the morning with their parents & siblings).

Last year we set up a small sided field and Dads & children enjoyed a game of football. We can do the same again this year to finish off the day.

Notes for Parents

The children will receive a sausage on a hot dog roll & can of soft drink for lunch
Additional sausages & rolls have been ordered and will be available to siblings & parents for a gold coin donation. (I cannot guarantee that we can cater for everyone on the day as I have no way of knowing how many people will attend)
A limited canteen will be run on the day selling drinks, tea & coffee at reduced prices and any stocks we are running down for season end.
Cordial will be provided free of charge to keep children hydrated while they play in the morning.
Assistance will be required from coaches & managers to organize activities for children in the morning.
Assistance will be required to cook the BBQ & serve the children for lunch to keep things moving to a reasonable time frame.
If your child is due a five or ten year trophy, see Reg or Larry when you arrive to make sure your child has been catered for. Records are kept manually and we are not immune to oversights.
Please return any outstanding gear to the club for end of year inventory. Shirts, balls, ID cards.
Please be patient, we do our best to run to schedule, everyone is a volunteer and we are at the end of a very long season and looking forward to a wind down and rest ourselves.
The committee and helpers will be having a well earned beer at the conclusion of the day. Anyone who wishes to join us is welcome to do so. Remember WCC rules are that no glass is allowed on the facility so canned beer only.

Presentation Day

This year’s presentation day has been moved from Saturday 17th September to Sunday 18th September to allow the Corrimal Rangers Football Club to host semi finals of the district competition. Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause. Stay in touch with this home page for further information regards presentation day. If any parents are interested in purchasing club clothing for coach & manager gifts please see Reg or Larry ASAP as there is a 4-6 week turn around time on supply minimum order of 4 items in any order.

Spring into Corrimal

Corrimal Rangers Junior Soccer has been entered to march in the Grand Parade at this years Spring into Corrimal. Players wanting to march in the parade are to meet at the entrance to Memorial Park at 9.30am. Players are to wear their playing shorts, socks and joggers for the march. Shirts will be handed out on the day. Parental help will be required to march with the children for supervision. All ages welcome.

Corrimal Rangers Lighting Grand Opening

The upgraded lighting facilities will be officially opened this Saturday 13th August.
The official opening will be at 4.30pm.
Kick Off times for matches: Youth Grade 12.30pm

Congratulations to our Under 15.2

The Rangers U15.2 side defeated Albion Park 2 V 0 away from home in round 17. Our boys only had 8 players V Albion Park 13 players. What a great effort, our team has played short for most of the year but keep backing up each week pushing other sides all the way. Keep up the good work for the last game guys we are proud of your efforts.

Under 17 State Cup Final

It was a great match: fast-paced end-to-end play with many close scoring chances. The Sydney team attacked all game with Corrimal defending grimly and counter attacking at every opportunity.

Corrimal scored in the first quarter of the game and maintained their lead late into the second half. Just when it looked like we would hang on for victory, Sydney scored a late equaliser (three minutes to go by my watch).

The golden goal extra time was an anti-climax as the goal came shortly after kick-off. Sydney attacked down the right hand side and crossed a ball which went right over the defence. One of their players chased the ball, it looked like it was going out, he kicked it over his head and somehow it looped over the keeper and ended up in the net (I still can’t work out how it went in from where he was).

Corrimal probably had the better of the scoring chances with two fine efforts hitting the post & crossbar, but we just couldn’t deliver the knockout blow. The team was understandably disappointed but accepted defeat with good grace. The captain Allister made a fine speech at the presentation.

I’m sure our team earned the respect of everyone there for the courageous effort they displayed and their sportsmanship in defeat. As president of the club it was a great day for Corrimal even if we didn’t return home with the prize. I certainly enjoyed the experience.

Rangers Make State Cup Final

Corrimal Rangers Under 17/18 team has made the State Cup final following a golden goal extra time victory over Thirroul last Sunday at Valentine Park Western Sydney. Congratulations to Coach Kevin Chilby and the team for a fantastic effort. The Corrimal Club wishes you all the best for next Sunday’s final.

State Cup

Our Club has hosted four rounds of the State Cup at Memorial Park hoping to provide support for our U17/18 team. Unfortunately this year they were only allocated one home game. Our small committee and canteen staff have worked extremely hard to make these days successful, representing Corrimal as well as Football South Coast. We have some wonderful people in our club who work tirelessly and sacrifice their time to raise funds to pay our bills and raise the profile of our club.

Small Sided Games

SSG continues to be a success in providing fun and enjoyment for the next generation of Rangers. Our Under 8 team has participated in the Russel Vale Luke Kerr Memorial Gala Day and our Under 9 team has enjoyed our own annual Wal Robinson Gal Day. Unfortunately Gala Days for Under 6 & 7 ages have been cancelled due to insufficient team entries. Thanks to all those parents who have helped out with ground set up and packing up. Thanks to all our coaches for the work they do in providing enjoyment for our children. Special thanks to Frank Liberti for his dedication to our club.

Under 10.3

Our Under 10 team has been graded into third division and the team is progressing nicely under Coach Craig Paull. I’m sure the boys are headed for a successful season and look forward to seeing them in the finals series. The team has also participated in the Kiama gala day and we have received praise from the Kiama club for their performances on the day. Thanks to Joe Garretty for the support he gives to Craig and his continued contribution to our club.

Under 11.3

This year has seen two teams merge into one and the team is nicely placed in third division and doing well. I’m sure coaches Greg Eager and Darren Smith will steer the team to the finals series. Keep up the good work guys.

Under 14.2

It’s been tough this year making the transition from 3rd to 2nd division. The team has stuck to the task and continues to improve. Last week saw us defeat Albion Park our first win over one of the top four teams. I’m sure we will make life difficult for the rest of the top teams before seasons end. Thanks to everyone for helping out our U15’s who are struggling for players.

Under 15.2

All John & the boys need are 11 players to be competitive. It’s been tough going but the boys have done a great job sometimes playing with 8 or 9 players. When we can get enough support to have 11 players on the park the team has done well. Keep up the good work and hopefully we will have a good finish to the year.

Under 17/18.1

A lot of new players have joined the team this year and it’s been remarkable to see the team blend together so quickly and continue the high standard Kevin has set over a number of years. Thirroul look like the contender this year and there have already been some great matches between the two teams. Keep up the good work. We wish Jesse Bragg a sound recovery from his broken leg suffered in round 2 of the State Cup. We hope to see you wearing the Rangers red & white stripes again soon.

Women’s

The girls are travelling along nicely in fourth position on the table in a large competition. There is a great opportunity to reach the finals series and do well. Unfortunately due to our hosting of the State Cup the team has had a number of games rescheduled. Thanks for being good sports, the State Cup fixtures have been a valuable asset to the club.

Report: Wal Robinson Memorial Gala Day 2011

The annual Wal Robinson Memorial Gala Day was held on Sunday 1st May in bright sunny conditions at Memorial Park. There were 15 participating teams from seven clubs who travelled from as far away as Kiama to enjoy the day’s football.

We were fortunate to have Wal Robinson’s sons Ken, Peter and Steven in attendance to present trophies and enjoy the football. Ken’s grandson Riley participated in the day playing for Balgownie.

Many thanks to our hard working committee and canteen staff who provided a great days football for our participants and made the day a success for our club.
